Summit Bicycles Returns Policy

Summit Bicycles has a 100% satisfaction guarantee for all of our products. We handle all returns and refunds on a case-to-case basis so that we may decide the best course of action. All returns must be accompanied by the Returns Form, found here. Refunds are dependent on the state of the returned product and will be issued within 21 days from the date it was received. All of our returns and refunds are processed Friday through Sunday. Returns can be sent with UPS or USPS. If an item is returned without original packaging, tags, or damage caused by the consumer, we will deduct the appropriate amount from the refund to reflect the possible resell price of the product.  

Payments will be refunded to the original method of payment, either credit or debit card, or via Paypal. Summit Bicycles does not accept Cash on Delivery, (C.O.D), for deliveries or for returns.

At this time, our eCommerce team is not able to process exchanges. If the product doesn’t work out for you, we would be more than happy to find you a better solution once we receive the original order.

Our local customers also have the option of returning their order to one of our six retail locations for their convenience. However, please note that our stores are not able to process eCommerce returnsYour returned item(s) will be transferred back to our distribution warehouse for processing and the appropriate refund will be issued within 21 days of its arrival.


If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your purchase, you may return the product within 30 days of its delivery date and receive a replacement, or refund. Summit Bicycles will evaluate and inspect returned merchandise in the order in which it is received and issue refunds appropriately depending on who is deemed to be at fault. Summit Bicycles reserves the right to decide the amount refunded based on the damages or reason for return. Summit Bicycles cannot issue a refund to the original payment method until the returned merchandise has been received and inspected.


Due to the impact of COVID19, supply of bicycles is short, and the demand is at its all time high.  Because of this, we’ve created our no-risk guarantee, which states that any bicycle order may be cancelled at any time prior to being shipped for a full refund.

If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your bicycle purchase, please contact our eCommerce team via phone or email so we can find a solution or alternative. Returned bicycles are investigated and inspected extensively to determine the cause and extent of the damage before issuing a refund.

*If damage was caused by faulty handling by a third party courier, our team will take the appropriate action and communicate with you through the process. We understand that these situations may be stressful and are more than happy to right the situation. Our team will work together, and with you, to resolve it.

Worn Clothing

We encourage you to try on the clothing you purchase to ensure the right fit. Due to regulations, we are unable to resell some items after direct contact against skin. Please try on shorts, bibs, and chamois with underwear to confirm the fit works for you. Clothing with visible wear and tear, odor, or any other indication that it has been worn while riding cannot be returned, with the exception of Bontrager products*.

*All aftermarket Bontrager products are covered by a 30 day unconditional guarantee, and may be returned no matter the condition or reason for the return. We honor their policies, which can be found on their website. This policy supersedes all exclusions below. Any questions may be directed to store managers.

Labor & Services

Our service departments are thoroughly trained and want to ensure the best possible experience. We strive for the highest quality of service and provide our team with the tools and knowledge to be successful. If, for any reason, we don’t meet your expectations, we will gladly refund you for the labor and/or components.

Closeout & Special Ordered Products

Closeout and special ordered merchandise are final sale, meaning we are not able to return or refund. However, we understand that some things don’t work out as anticipated, and will work with you to find an alternative solution. Questions may be directed to store managers, and will be handled on a case to case basis. 

Damaged Product

Returned merchandise is carefully inspected upon its arrival to either the store or eCommerce warehouse. Summit Bicycles reserves the right to decide the amount refunded based on the damages or reason for return. If the product is damaged or without its original packaging, you will be refunded the resale value of the merchandise.
