The OPEN WI.DE. gravel bike frame gets its name from the Winding Detours you’ll take once you start exploring the potential of this infinitely capable ride.
This frameset is perfect for those who want to ride without limits. With multiple setup options, you can make yourself a speedy gravel grinder, a nimble trail explorer, an unstoppable bikepacking rig, or the perfect combination of everything.
OPEN has combined a few killer design concepts into one go-anywhere, do-anything frame. At a glance, it’s an incredibly versatile carbon fiber gravel frame with:
- compatibility for 700c or 650b wheels
- massive tire clearance
- nimble, performance-minded geometry
- narrow, road bike Q factor
- mounts on mounts for extra water and gear storage
With tire clearance for either 700c x 46mm or 650b x 2.4”, there’s nothing holding you back from taking on any adventure you choose. All that rubber means an extremely comfortable ride, allowing you to go longer and farther than ever. Run slicks or something knobbier and choose your off road destiny.
Don’t be fooled, just because the WI.DE. is built to accommodate those big tires doesn’t mean it’s sluggish. Far from it. The OPEN team designed the geometry for maximum performance on all surfaces. That means you’ll keep an efficient, power-generating position on the bike and enjoy snappy, nimble handling when things get technical. Plus, the narrow Q factor promotes a comfortable, natural pedal stroke.
Keep it clean with just a couple water bottles or load it up with bikepacking bags for a wild adventure. OPEN has thoughtfully placed mounts on the down tube, top tube, bottom bracket, and main triangle. With all those options, you can bring the gear you need for all-day epics, fast-paced overnighters, long weekends, and big trips.

The OPEN WI.DE. can fit 700c tires up to 46mm, although 35-40mm is recommended.
When running 650b wheels, the WI.DE. can accomodate tires up to 2.4".

Say goodbye to the added weight of adaptors and spacers, because smart-mount allows you to attach your calipers right onto the frame and fork.
The double-dropped chainstay creates more tire clearance, improves stiffness, and reduces weight.
The seat and chain stays are vertically thin for compliance and laterally thicker for optimum power transfer.
The flat sides of the downtube allow for a stronger layup for added stiffness.
Zero-offset posts save weight and improve efficiency.

The ThruThread design holds both the axle and the derailleur hanger to cut back on weight and improve stiffness.
