What are the best features of the Yeti SB120?
Get to know the Yeti SB120, its tricked-out features, and most recent upgrades below.
130/120 travel
The SB120 rocks just the right amount of travel for trail ripping and beyond, splitting the difference between popular past Yeti models, the SB115 and SB130.
This new model comes with 130mm up front and 120mm of rear travel that’s short enough for fast, efficient climbing and longer than traditional full-sus XC bikes.
Riders are free to throw away the XC label and smash rowdier terrain all across the mountain.
Improved Switch Infinity Design
The SB120 T-Series frames feature Yeti’s latest Switch Infinity design, a killer update on an already incredible system.
This unique pivot perfects the anti-squat values on the climbs and provides a bottomless feel in the roughest spots on the mountain thanks to Switch Infinity's ability to switch direction as the bike moves through its entire travel.
Size-specific builds
Each of Yeti’s new bikes for 2023 comes with customized geometry specs to achieve a balanced ride feel, no matter the frame size.
There are size-specific seat tube angles and chainstays that are proportionate to riders’ measurements as well as refined reach and head angle numbers.
Available in XS-XXL frames, the SB120 has Yeti’s widest size range that will fit riders between 4’10” and 6’11”.
New Frame design
Yeti has redesigned their frames to include some thoughtful, ride-enhancing features, like a new threaded bottom bracket and high-clearance downtube.
The dual-density downtube protection is composed of cushioning rubber and an external hard cap to ward off any frame damage.
The seat tube is shorter to accommodate longer-travel dropper posts for some serious on-the-fly adjustability.
Improved Carbon Layup
The SB120 is built around an all-new short travel trail frame platform that’s designed to extract the most performance out of every millimeter of suspension.
Not only does it make for a killer aesthetic, the upgraded frame better accommodates the shock and features boost spacing plus fully enclosed cable management.
Whether you opt for a C/Series or lighter TURQ carbon frame, Yeti has refined the carbon layups on all 2023 models.
Yeti SB120 Geometry
The SB120 is set up for pedaling efficiency and excellent handling in versatile conditions. There’s an effective seat tube angle of 76.5° across all frame sizes so you can put the power down on the flats and climbs.
The 66.5° head tube angle provides maneuverability and nimble steering out on the trails. New for 2023, chainstay length and reach numbers are customized on each frame size to ensure a balanced feel.

Yeti SB120 FAQs

The main difference between the two carbon materials are weight and cost. The C/Series carbon has the strength and stiffness of the more expensive TURQ material, but weighs about 225g per frame more.
How much does the Yeti SB120 cost?
Depending on the frame material and component package, the five versions of the SB120 can cost between $6,300 and $12,100.
What is the Yeti Switch Infinity system?
