The geometry teeter totter is well balanced across the Evil family tree and the Epocalypse drops into a cozy branch alongside its gravity kin. Epocalyptic lightning flows into a low-slung Shimano EP8 motor to kick out 85Nm of pedal assistance at full throttle, backed by the brand’s burly 630Wh battery for max laps. Spin it up and let the good times rip! The motor’s trail-hugging heft will dig those rubber lugs in deep for unshakable stability and traction. Between the juiced watts and the pedaling prowess of our DELTA System, few ascents will tilt too steep for the Epocalypse. Electrified bikes are a blast whether gravity’s helping or hindering, and the engineers at Evil worked closely with Shimano to achieve an ideal power balance. Good luck locating a slope that the Epocalypse can’t scale. After two years of rigorous testing and perfecting we’ve created the right machine for any rider’s version of fun. A pair of sturdy carbon triangles surrounds the EP8 powerhouse, protected from front tire projectiles by a custom skid plate beneath the motor and a shuttle shield under the downtube. A SRAM UDH derailleur hanger dangles from our SuperBoost+ rear end, keeping those precious drivetrain bits shifty, and hangers are available at most shops if you manage to clip a passing rock. The Evil Insurgent has gained a nasty reputation as a rowdy troublemaker that pressures riders into steeper descents, bigger jumps, and a bad habit of berm shredding. It’s the bike for riders who want to pop off everything in their path and get sideways as much as possible. And with the new 2022 model, things get even wilder. What is the Insurgent v2? The new Insurgent is a heavy-hitting trail bike that’s designed for maximum fun, but what’s new on the v2 model? MX (29/27.5) or full 27.5” This time around, Evil decided to give riders more options by offering both an improved 27.5” model as well as a mixed-wheel (MX) model with a 29er up front and 27.5 in the back. The 27.5” Insurgent is built for the bike park and freeriding, and the MX version is more inclined for enduro, downhill, and extra aggressive trails. 18mm more travel The rear travel has been increased from 150mm to 168mm on both models, allowing you to go even harder with more confidence and control than ever. Better pedaling efficiency The seat tube angle has been steepened to help you shuttle yourself right back to the top of the climbs without being wasted for the good stuff on the way down. Longer wheelbase for better stability The wheelbase has been lengthened slightly to help you descend with better confidence and control.
